**New Class Coming in 2023**
One in eight women in the US will develop breast cancer in her lifetime.
Given this statistic, it’s important that all women understand how to assess for and prevent breast cancer. This online course will give you the knowledge and tools to drastically improve your chances of remaining cancer-free in your lifetime.
Class outcome: Lower your risk of breast cancer and take proactive preventive steps.
While mammograms are important in the detection of already-formed cancer, there is much more that can be done to prevent breast cancer from developing. In this online class, we will take a deep dive into the genetic and environmental risk factors associated with breast cancer. These factors include:
We hope you’ll leave this class understanding better what causes breast cancer, how you can evaluate your risks, and what you can do about them.
Each of the classes will be led by Monique Class, MS, ARPN-BC, and Dan Lukaczer ND. Monique brings more than 25 years of professional experience working closely with women in assessing breast cancer risk and creating individual programs. Additionally, she has also personally been on the other side of the stethoscope with her own breast cancer journey.
Each of the four 90-minute sessions is conveniently online and is open to anyone who would like to attend. Exact dates and times TBD.
Breast cancer is the second most common cancer among women, and over 30% of cancers in women are breast cancer. And while family history is important, over 85% of women do not have a significant family history. This means that breast cancer is caused by other factors, and unless we take education seriously, we won’t be able to assess and prevent breast cancer in the future.
With breast cancer being very common, you might be wondering what can you do about it? Quite a bit beyond what you’re likely doing!
Dr. Dan Lukaczer is a specialist in functional medicine. Functional medicine takes a holistic approach to health and aims to prevent diseases, including breast cancer, by addressing underlying imbalances and promoting overall well-being. Research has shown that stress, toxins, and unhealthy lifestyle choices can increase a person’s risk of developing cancer.
So, if we live healthier lives, we increase our chances of preventing cancer.
