Undiagnosed Chronic Conditions
For patients with undiagnosed chronic conditions, Dr. Lukaczer gathers comprehensive medical history and utilizes functional laboratory testing. He develops a personalized treatment plan addressing multiple factors contributing to the condition. Collaboration with other specialists might be sought for a comprehensive evaluation.
Throughout the treatment process, Dr. Lukaczer prioritizes patient education and empowerment, encouraging individuals to actively participate in their health journey. Regular monitoring and adjustments to the treatment plan based on patient progress are integral to his functional medicine approach
Dr. Lukaczer’s Approach
Dr. Lukaczer combines a number of components in caring for his patients. Your individual wellness plan will incorporate these items in some shape or form, but of course, each recommendation will be tailored to your individual needs.
Dr. Lukaczer uses diagnostic testing to help understand the core imbalances occurring for an individual when clinical experience does not clearly provide all of the answers.
For standard labs, we send patients to a Quest Laboratory draw center. Those laboratory evaluations are generally covered by insurance.
Dr. Lukaczer also works with specialized laboratories (not covered by insurance) to more deeply understand your gastrointestinal function, nutritional status, hormone status, inflammation and immune function, the possible presence of toxins, and food sensitivities.
Nutritional Assessment & Health Coaching
Nutritionists and Health Coaches are important parts of the success of the functional medicine process. To help you meet your health goals and incorporate your treatment plan effectively and affordably, Dr. Lukaczer often recommends nutritionists or health coaches.
In addition to recommending dietary changes and other foundational lifestyle factors, nutritional and botanical supplements can be critically important in supporting biochemical/metabolic functioning, immune and hormone regulation, and detoxification. They can also assist with ongoing health maintenance.
Not all supplements are created equal. Some products are better absorbed and utilized by the body than others. The particular form of a vitamin or mineral or the amount and quality of an herbal supplement can be critical for how they function in the body and what organs and tissues they support. Therefore, getting a supplement from a quality company is vital.
The supplements Dr. Lukaczer recommends are all from reputable companies. He is confident they all meet the highest qualifications. They are conveniently available to you online through FullScript, and Dr. Lukaczer will make specific recommendations stored in your individualized patient portal and email them directly to you.
You can then order these supplements directly from your home. He offers a 15% discount to every patient he works with to make this more affordable. If you order greater than $50 from FullScript, standard shipping (4-7 days) is free. He will review your supplements at each visit to ensure you are on only what seems reasonable and adequate.
Group classes allow Dr. Lukaczer to combine clinical care and health education. Groups are also helpful to connect, support, and work together towards similar goals.
These group classes focus on educating a small group of patients on a particular health topic. Dr. Lukaczer covers various topics, including ketogenic and elimination diets, fasting protocols, and detoxification programs. Sometimes he invites other medical professionals to host classes based on their individual expertise.
While Dr. Lukaczer hopes to do onsite programs in the future, these programs are currently delivered online.
