It has been said the quieter you become, the more you can hear. Mindfulness is the ability to pay more attention to what is happening in the present. Regular practice of mindful meditation has been shown to create changes in the brain that lead to reduced reactivity, allow us to navigate stress better, and be more appreciative of this experience we call being a human.
Join us for an hour in which we’ll talk a bit about the practice and the science of mindfulness and contemplative practices, take questions, and then have a short session in which we will sit (or lay) in quiet meditation.

Class Overview
In this class, you will gain a deep understanding of mindfulness and its profound impact on the brain. We will also cover how the body responds to stress. Stress is an inevitable part of life, but by understanding its physiological effects, you can develop effective strategies to manage and mitigate its impact. We will explore the intricate connection between mind and body, delving into the mechanisms of the stress response and its implications for our physical and mental health. Through this exploration, you will gain valuable insights and practical techniques to navigate stress with resilience, promoting a greater sense of balance, calm, and well-being.
Finally, we will practice mindfulness techniques. Sit or lay in a quiet space to experience the benefits of mindfulness for yourself. With these techniques, you will be able to anchor yourself in the present moment, enhance your focus and concentration, and nurture a deep sense of inner peace. By integrating mindfulness into your everyday life, you will discover its transformative power in reducing stress, improving relationships, and fostering a greater sense of clarity and purpose.
Class Instructors and Schedule
This mindfulness class will be facilitated by Dr. Lukaczer and his colleagues Monique Class ARPN, and Sheldon Lewis.
We offer this class quarterly. Each class is 60 minutes in length and conveniently online. The next class is Tuesday, September 12th 4:30-5:30 pm PST.
This class is free to anyone. To get the full benefit of the group experience, these classes will not be recorded so live participation is required.
